Scenes from Korčula - St Justina's Church

This church was built on a small square in the Borgo suburb in the second half of the 19th century, on the site of the old church of SS Sergei and Bacchus. The centrally planned Neoclassical building with a small cupola-latern in finely-dressed stone was designed by Proessor Smrknić of Korčula. It fits into the surrounding area, what is more, it gives this unpretentious square a representative appearance. St Blasius, the patron of the bishopric, is honoured in this church besides St Justina.
